Lauderdale "Community" Elders Concept
My aim is to produce a record work that records the Elders and Seniors of our community throughout Lauderdale as a record that will be kept as a history of our Elders.
The initial concept will try to archive 100/200 portraits
It will take place over the next three years finishing hopefully 2020
The initial approach to gather photographs will be a "public request to attend the studio and have your portrait taken" but also will involve personal invitations, at no cost to the sitter. I will also seek the advice of the community as to which people might qualify.
All portraits will be made available to purchase as framed prints sizes ranging from 9" x 6"
A selection will be framed for display depending uopn sponsorship & funding, hopefully around 25 individual portraits .
The framed portraits will be made available fro display gallery style in local halls & buildings and will also be available to businesses that apply to display them.
The long term aim is to keep this as a living archive.
The Portraits will be able to be viewed on line in a gallery on my web site. Hopefully they can also be stored in our local Library in Lauder as a digital record.
If you would like to be part of this project or know some one who my want to be involved please contact the studio directly.
