Maryhill Rd
Maryhill Rd............ is a project that I have had in mind now for several years. Being a Glaswegian, it is not an area of the city that I would say I know well, but on the otherhand I know of it's history and the importance of Maryhill to this great city of mine. The history of Maryhill Rd is fasinating. Just a few examples. The Maryhill Barracks , once the proud home of the Scotts Grays and the Highland Light Infantry, The Forth and Clyde Cannal where Marhill got the name of The Venice of the North, Ruchill Church Hall designed by Charles Rennie MacIntosh, and of course the great "Partick Thistle F.C. Some famous residents include Donavan, Maggie Bell, & Robert Carlyle. I will be walking the full lenght of the road over period of Three full days photographing what is happening around me at the time, the people, the buldings and the full character of the road. The result hopefully will be an archive of photographs of a part of this incredable city.
