Ewen opened his Breakingglass studio in his home town of Lauder in 2010, custom built to his specification. It allows his clients to relax and chill in the lounge area before the start of their studio session, enjoying a latte, tea or a cold refreshing drink.
It provides us with all we need to work artistically in a comfortable environment. A full print and framing service is available on the premises, offering a large range of products to display your finished framed print on your walls at home.
All studio and location portraits are printed on the premises on to "Canson Infinity Fine Art Photo Paper". This offers an exceptional quality, beauty and character to create black & white and colour photographs.
The studio range of concepts and work is extensive from children to teens, family groups to individual portraits, makeovers, and also from bump to baby covering the full pregnancy term with nine individual photographs.
Classic Black and White.....
Black and White portraiture has been with us forever, dating back to the very first pioneers of photography. It's nothing new. There have and are many "great" portrait photographers who either worked totally in B&W or have used the medium to wonderful effect. Here are just a few of my favourite names past and present. Cappa, Albert Watson, Bailey, Willy Ronis, Irving Penn, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Richard Avedon, Brassai, Snowdon, Anton Corbijn to name just a few. Julia Margaret Cameron (Link To J.M.Cameron) was taking amazing B&W as far back as 1864. I could go on. Please follow the link to view some of Ewen's recent Studio Portraits.
